It has been a while...

I watched a video on Mormon.org today about a woman who started a blog in 2005.  That was before the horrible plane crash that burned most of her body.  Shortly after waking from her 3 month coma, she was not in the "blogging mood" if you will.  She eventually received what she believes was a divine calling to blog about her struggles and everyday pains.  If she can blog regularly with burned hands, I should be able to, right?  I believe it is important to share experiences and testimonies.  Her testimony has inspired me in a few more ways than just keeping up on my blog, and I am grateful. So here is my promise... If I don't blog at least once a week, you get to yell at me. My one and only follower, Katie (thanks by the way), I will hold you to this.. Please hold me to my end of the deal. I love you all who may read this and get anything out of it, if it is only a laugh or two.

Calling all Sunbeams

I took Kayden outside for a walk today, and I wanted to cry.  The chill that hit my skin almost instantly made my bones hurt. It happens every year like this, we all start to wish for the snow to melt and the grass to turn green once again.  I want the sun to come out and bathe my skin with vitamins to uplift my mood. My yard plans, drawn on pieces of graft paper, are wrinkled and torn from me holding and caressing them, trying to envision myself there. Someday.
When we bought this house, the front yard landscaping was finished. Bryan and I get to finish the backyard ourselves.  It will be a lot of work, but worth it, definitely worth it.  I have been given a lot of freedom on the desisions having anything to do with the cosmetic design, and I thank Bryan for that.
On my plans I have drawn out a special place for the location of my Cutting Garden.  We will be planting flowers that are great for fresh arrangements as well as dried.  I have always wanted to have fresh flowers in the house just like my main woman Martha does.
Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me!

New Beginning

I have been taught, as many of you have, ever since I can remember that it is important to keep a record. A record of the day to day happenings, and also a record of the more emotional aspect, the spiritual happenings if you will. My entire life I have kept journals, but the entries in them are so few and far between. I am turning over a new leaf. Making a fresh start. This is my new beginning. Family, friends, world: Welcome to My Good Life!
